Do note that more recent versions of this drive have been DW1650s. If the sticker on the drive says "DRU810-R, it's a DW1650. I'm just saying this so people don't end up flashing their drives with the wrong firmware

Maxtor got bought out by Seagate earilier this year. From all the sales, it looks like they are trying to liquidate all the old Maxtor product. They are excellent hard drives, and its a good time to get one.

Running a little late this morning. To speed up the process I'm skipping items that have a rebate in this post.

Best Buy
Verbatim 52x CD-R lightscribe, 30 for $13.
Memorex 4x mini DVD+RW, 10 for $20.
Memorec DVD+or-R, 50 for $13.
Memorex 2.4x DVD+R DL, 15 for $25.

LG GSA-H22LI for $60.

Western Digital 160gb SATA or PATA model for $70.
Western Digital 60gb Passport II (USB powered) $80.
Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 200GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive, $100.
Seagate 400GB External FireWire and USB 2.0 Hard Drive, $230.

Office Depot
Office Depot 2.4x DVD+R DL, 25 for $40.
Office Depot 4x DVD-R mini, 10 for $15.
No promises for the accuracy of this one.. It looks like two Office Depot labeled media spindles shrink wrapped together. 25 - 52x CD-Rs and 75- 16x DVD-Rs for $15.

Sony 16x DVD+or-R, 50 for $13.

CompUSA
October 8th. & 9th.
100- 52x CD-R for $13. I'm not sure what's on the spindle. The ad pic doesn't have a label but the SKU number matches TDK media..

All week
Memorex 16x DVD+or-R, 100 for $25.
Memorex 52x CD-R, 50 for $8.
Memorex 4x DVD+RW, 25 for $10.
Memorex 2.4x DVD+R DL, 15 for $20.

Mad Dog 18x Triple Format w/lightscribe $60. The same model in a external enclosure w/USB & Firewire- $100.

LaCie 250gb external w/USB interface, $100.
LaCie 500gb external w/USB & Firewire interface, $250.

Circuit City
NexxTech DVD+or-R, 50 for $10.
NexxTech CD-R, two 50 count spindles for $10.
Sony DVD+RW mini, 3 for $11.

I lied about not posting any items with a rebate,
Mad Dog 18x Triple Format external w/USB & Firewire- $80 after $20 rebate. $20 cheaper than the MadDog at CompUSA (after rebate) but this unit doesn't have the lightscribe feature.

I haven't actually bought any myself but I'm pretty sure that's what everyone at Freaks claimed they'd gotten. I still have a few of the 25 pack memorex ones I got and the only drive that makes working disks with them for me is my 111. And 2.4 is so SLOW.
