Hopefully my wife won't be testing my skills as a builder so I'll have time to do it.

Perhaps a minor correction...

The Verbatim DVD+R DL, 20 for $30, being sold at BestBuy are advertised online as 8x not 2.4x.

They're not Verbatim's 8x rated discs though. They're "8x capable". It's kind of misleading and unfortunately Best Buy isn't the only one doing this.

Yeah, the retailers have fooled me a few times too with that 8x description for 2.4x rated media. I'm going to BB and pick some up today because my 10% off coupon expires at midnight.

TCAS- glad to see you're back in circulation. Was starting to wonder if all was well.

I'd like to ask all my Ameri-friends out there to please give Bestbuy some verbal hell for their continued failure to update their product information to be correct...

If enough people complain, maybe they'll change it.

I bought the Verbatim 100pack cd-r's at Office Max and they were CMC made in Taiwan, manufacture date 2005. The first four I tried to burn gave multiple failure errors including 'illegal disc.' Needless to say I returned them promptly and ordered TY CD-R's from supermediastore.com. Avoid these Verbatim CD-R's like the plague.
