Hmm.. it shows those crappy Life Series discs in the ad but on the website, the AZO discs are also $9.99.

It depends where they're made. If they're made in Taiwan, its CMC. In India, its MBI. If you're really lucky and you find some that are made in Singapore, those came from Verbatim's own factory.

If your real lucky you also find some of the UAE made disks made by Falcon media, those are excellent quality disks too. I managed to find 4 100 packs before they switched completely to the crappy Life series last summer. I wouldn't bother with the life series disks as they all seem to be made by CMC and though fair just aren't as good as the earlier AZO stuff. Think you can still get them online but most stores now only sell the life stuff or Memorex or their clones now.

So is the AZO/Taiwan / CMC stuff decent? Apparently they have some of that at my local Office Max, since I checked and it says Taiwan on the outside label.

I haven't seen any Singapore labels in a long time. I'm into my last 50-pack of MCC 004/Taiwan/Verbatim DVD+R, what ever happened to the source of that stuff ?

This deal got even better. This Friday and Saturday, Office Max has 100 packs of Verbatim DVD media for $14.99. This price is in store only.
