Don't know if anyone really cares anymore, but there is a Benq DW1655 for sale on eBay. There are several of them, but this one is starting at 99cents plus shipping.

Still have a real retail 1655 in service I got at CompUSA in their Connect computers brand box just before they closed up their retail stores. They tend to get bad tray belts and refuse to open and do weird things after being in service a long time but they were the last great real BenQ DVD burner made and the learn as it burned tech was awesome and did improve quality with use. I also have a few 1620's and a 1640, my first one was a 1600 that got all the free upgrades to 1620 status including DL burning.
I haven't used it in a long time but just don't want to toss any of them as they are part of my history and worked very well, plus the quality testing feature is useful.

I still have a DW1640 in one of my computers. I used it the other day to rip one of my kids' DVDs. ;)

I still have two DW1640 drives, one in a computer and one in a USB external enclosure. I still use both of them, and they still work great. Also, still have a brand new Norwood Micro (Benq) DW1640 from CompUSA back in 2006, that I always thought I would cross-flash to Benq firmware and use when one of the others gave out. Wow, does time fly?
