Does Lite-On even make 48x16x48 drives? I thought they only made 48x12x48 and 48x24x48 for the 48x drives.

Every TDK I have come across recently has been Lite-On, that is why I put Lite-On in parenthesis. TDK does use the 48X16/24X48 drive, so this may be that drive.

I have this TDK drive. The 16x re-write can be upgraded to 24x through firmware from TDK's web-site. It is a Lite-On drive.
