At my Best Buy here all the 48x12x48 Buslinks are now not Liteons, they use justlink so it's Ricoh or whoever uses that technology.
Make sure it says Smart Burn on it if you want a Liteon. They always used to have only the Liteons at Best Buy in those speeds so read the box before you buy.

I noticed the same thing.... I went to 3 local Best Buys yesterday and all 3 had plenty of these drives in stock but they were all labeled as Justlink instead of Smart Burn as they were previously.

Thanks for the feedback guys. My thread has been slightly edited to reflect the new info.

They are probably Aopen drives in those BUSlink boxes. The Aopen drives aren't bad, plus their speed is 48X12X50.

Last week, out of 8 Buslinks on the shelf at one Best Buy store in the Kansas City, MO area, only one was a Lite-On (and a 48x24x48 one at that). The remaining drives were AOpens, which, in my experience are very good drives. At another Best Buy store they had 5 drives, only two of which were Lite-Ons. It looks like Buslink has switched vendors...
