Find a boxt that says "SmartBurn" rather than "JustLink" or anything else on the darkbrown/burgundy area.

BUSlink has used drives from Lite-On, Aopen, and Benq in their boxes. Just look for SmartBurn if you want a Lite-On drive. Boxes with JustLink contain Aopen drives.

Lucked out at my local CompUSA and found one Lite-On drive left! The Smartburn logo is printed right on the box, but the JustStink (acer) logo looked to me like a sticker pasted right over the Smartburn logo.

The store manager never saw the print-out ad before and it took about 10 minutes to check (on his PC or a phone call) to make sure it was legit. After he found it was, I got the discount!

I was hoping to get a 48X but got a 40X12X48 instead. No big deal, I can always flash it up to 48x right?

What about upgrading a 48X (I have a 48125W and a Memorex 48Maxx) to 52x?

Even at 40x its still a great bargan for $20, I felt I shoplifted it! I hope others had the same luck I did.
