Forgive me for being ignorant, but what is a cd-runaway? I never knew CD's had legs and could run away!

I think what CD Runaway means that if a CD/DVD is inserted into the drive, the CD just keeps on spinning annoyingly.

It's more noticable on quiet systems.

My LiteON 52/24/52 and LTD163D did this all the time.

I believe that Nero has a program to shorten the spinup time for optical drives.

The cd-rom just sits there and spins at full speed. it isnt reading anything and the eject button doesnt work. Just pretty much sitting there and spinning out of control.
