Ridata DVD+R DL 2.4X (5 pieces) + 4x DVD+R (1 pc.) - $16.49

I ran across this at Amazon and thought I would share it with all of you:

Ridata DVD+R Double Layer 2.4X (5 pieces) + DVD+RW 4X (1 piece) in gift box

$16.49 after a $6 MIR. I haven't dealt with RiData DVD+R DL media yet (or any DL media for that matter) but I figure the price isn't going to get better than this for a while, so I decided to pick some up to play with.

On this January the 20th 2006
I bought a spindle of 10 pieces RIDATA 2,4x DVD+R DL
for 19,99 € at MediaMarkt (in Germany)
so it was 2 € a piece for a double layer . . .

Does anybody know for sure
with which burner and firmware I have a chance to burn well these Ridata DVD+R DL 2,4x
espacially without a "tsunani of PIE errors" around the layer break

The LiteON SHW-1635S does surprisingly well with the latest firmware. Also, some people have reported good results with the PX-716, but my own results vary from ok to coasterized.

Yeah, I've gotten some half way decent results with my Lite-On SOHW-1673S. It even writes to the media at 4x.
