Question On C1 Errors

Postby burninfool on Sat Dec 13, 2003 9:03 pm

Hey guys I've searched the forum,including "The Official K-Probe" thread,and didn't find a answer.
My question:Anybody have a link that explains what is acceptable C1 errors, also one that shows acceptable maximums and averages?

Thanks

There is no "correct" answer to that question, since everyone has different standards, and every drive reads discs differently.

For me, on the LiteON 48125W testing at 40x (or Plextor Premium testing at 10x-24x CAV), I will accept C1 error rate averages of no higher then 2-2.5, and C1 error maximum values of no greater then 30-35. But I have *really* picky standards. :D

Yeah, I'm about the same. C1 average of 2 is about as high as I tend to accept.

I guess my LTR-52246S is o.k then because I get a maximum of 7 and average .225 with 32x MCC media. :D
