My New Toy!

Postby BuddhaTB on Wed Nov 17, 2004 3:44 am

I ordered a Dell Inspiron 700m notebook when Dell had their $750 off $1500 coupon code valid for 10/21 only. A few weeks later it was finally shipped and I received it last week. I paid about $830 after tax and shipping. When I first got it in, I had to refromat it to get rid of all the Dell crap, but its finally up to my specs now with all the programs I need.

It will be my second computer, so I wanted something lightweight and small. Perfect for taking to school and whenever I travel. It's a real beauty!

Specs:
12.1" Widescreen WXGA Screen (1280x800 resolution)
Intel Pentim M 1.6 GHz (2MB Cache, 400MHz FSB)
512MB DDR RAM 333MHz (PC2700)
30GB Hard Drive
24x24x24x8 CD-RW/DVD Sony Combo Drive
Intel Pro Wireless 2200 802.11b/g (Centrino Equipped)
Windows XP Home
USB 2.0 Port x2
Firewire Port
Network Port (10/100)
SD Memory Card Slot
PC Card Slot
56K Modem
S-Video Port
Monitor Connector
11.5" (W) x 8.5" (D) x 1.5" (H)
4.5 lbs with battery

Took a pic with my size 11 Jordan to help show how small it is :P

A guy at work ordered one of those as well. It's a very nice laptop and the size makes it perfect for use on the couch. :D

Sweet. Someone in college has one too, it's really nice!

BTW, hi again Ian. I was away on holiday, no cell phones, no computers for a week!

Away from cell phones and computers? Is that possible? #-o Anyway, I'm glad you're back.

Hi BuddhaTB.

The laptop is a real beauty.I have begin to love the Intel Centrino platform.I have found it handy a couple of times when no hardwired network was available.
