I haven't seen it in German shops either. I use Ricoh 8x DVD+RW (RICOHJPN W21).

I have yet to see retail samples of this media. I have heard that it is available outside of the US though. I can't remember where exactly though.

It should become better available. Now that MKM has sort most problems out and that it finally has been approved by Philips.
Trying to make something "foolproof" only forces nature to make a better fool.

both Newegg and supermediastore only have Ritek Ridata 8X DVD+RW. :(

But Ritek makes some of the best med...ah, hell...I can't even type that! :wink:
BenQ 1655, BenQ 1620, LG 4167, Plex PX-716SA, Samsung SH-S162L, SH-S182M, Pioneer 111D, Lite-On SHM-165H6S and 1.9TB of HDDs to feed 'em and an X2/4800 to crunch for 'em.

Point here is that verbatim decided to delay the product after the first disc's didn't work that well (see also the problems with MID variations on this board) and the format wasn't moving. Delay and improve it so that the customer gets a better product.

I personally say good decision. Something which more manufacturers should do instead of releasing revision after revision on the market or releasing a half assed product.

It will probably still take quite some months befor we see it in some volumes in the stores.(Verbatim europe and america aren't listing these on there site yet. :o )
