There are several good places to buy CD wallets from online, much better than retail stores. Here are some of the best values...

Fellowes 320 CD Album - $26.88 (Free Shipping) - 8 cents per CD slot
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846

Fellowes 224 CD Album - $18.63 (Free Shipping if total purchase is $25 or more) - 8 cents per CD slot
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846

Targus CD Projects 64 CD Wallet - $6.99 - 11 cents per CD slot
http://shop2.outpost.com/product/3054019

Targus CD Projects 92 CD Wallet - $9.99 - 11 cents per CD slot
http://shop2.outpost.com/product/3483133

CD Land 128 CD Portfolio - $14.99 (Free Shipping if total purchase is $35 or more) - 12 cents per CD slot
http://www.pricehot.com/pol124cdhol.html

CD Land 200 CD Portfolio - $19.99 (Free Shipping if total purchase is $35 or more) - 10 cents per CD slot
http://www.pricehot.com/pol200cdhol.html

CD Land 216 CD Portfolio - $21.99 (Free Shipping if total purchase is $35 or more) - 10 cents per CD slot
http://www.pricehot.com/216cdportfolio.html

CD Land 240 CD Portfolio - $23.99 (Free Shipping if total purchase is $35 or more) - 10 cents per CD slot
http://www.pricehot.com/pol240cdpor.html

The key number to look for is cost per CD slot, it's just like measuring the cost per CD-R in a spindle. The lower the cost per CD slot, the better the value. As for the different online stores, Amazon.com and Outpost.com speak for themselves, they are both reputable. Pricehot.com is pretty good too, I ordered two 200 CD Land Portfolios from them and their service was smooth. The quality of the CD Portfolios is not on par with Case Logic, CD Projects, or even Fellowes, but it isn't terrible either. The portfolios are three-ring binders and inside are plain, white sheets with plastic CD holders attached to the sheets (just like any other CD wallet). The sheets are punched with three holes so they fit in the three-ring binder. Case Logic and Fellowes CD Albums/Wallets are not in the three-ring fashion, so you cannot take the individual sheets out like you can the CD Land Portfolio. The sheets in the CD Projects Wallets can be taken out too. It's up to you, removable sheets for flexibility or not. Personally, I don't care, I go for the best value, removable or not. :)

TheWizard thanks! Well bestbuy had a good deal on a cd wallet i think it was a 208 one for like $30 or something after instant or mail in rebate forgot. It had a extra cd wallet that came with it for free that held like another 52 or 72 cds i forgot. It was right before christmas i believe. Hoping maybe they do again but if they don't i can always order online. I am going to check those 3 binder sleeves because those may be alittle cheaper when trying to add more space maybe. I am trying to think which one would be easier to look through. I think maybe the 3 binder sleeves sense it stays open easier than the cd wallets maybe, etc. Then again the cds may be safer in a cd wallet. But i will see.

Sorry i thought you were talking about 3 ring cd holders as in like in a big binder where you can buy separate sheets or more and add to it. I guess they don't do that really. Then again i may see just to make sure. I wish there was a easier way to organize so many cds. I hate having like several cd wallets i wish you could fit them all in one because when you have like 2 to 4 you have to look through each one but i guess thats just the way it goes.

Thanks once again for the help. Very appreicated.

$30 for 208? That's 14-15 cents per CD slot. You can do better than that. :)

The CD Portfolios from Pricehot.com are three-ring binders with empty sheets inside with which you can deposit your CD's. I suppose you could add more sheets (they sell three-hole CD sheets all over the place), but space will become an issue. For example, the CD Portfolio that holds 200 CD's already comes with 25 sheets, adding more than 25 sheets to the binder may be an overload.

The other option would be to completely do it yourself by buying a 1", 3", or 5" three-ring binder at any office supply store and then buying three-hole CD sheets. Make sure the binder is durable though, preferably something that you can zip closed.

TheWizard ok thanks. I wish newegg.com sold cd wallets at these prices because i like buying a lot of my stuff at newegg.com sense they are so good.

As you can see from resellerratings amazon.com doesn't do to bad so i think i would at least try once there if i have to. Outpost.com doesn't do too well and pricehot doesn't have a rating. I am refering to the 6 month ratings by the way.

Also as you can see newegg.com seems to always have a 9. something ratings which is extremely good. Its at number 5 of the top resellers right now. Sometimes its 6 and sometimes 5 i think most of the time. Always top 10.

240-CD for less than $9 here but even that is too costly to me.

So my favorite solution is:

About $0.01 to $0.02 per CD/DVD. Since this is the retail price for imported products in small quantity...

Go to dollar tree - they had a 10 CD zipper case for only $1!

As far as best selection - I'd say Best Buy has the best for CD wallets.

Don't believe everything you read. :P Resellerratings is a good starting point, but the users can be very biased at times. Look at other rating sites like BizRate.com. PriceHot has a review on Resellerratings now. :) Also, check Yahoo Shopping for a better rating on PriceHot, Yahoo gives them 5 stars out of 5.

I just got a promotion from PriceHot in my Emailbox; you can subtract an additional 10% from any purchase through January 16, 2003. Now the CD Portfolios are even less. :)

Enter this coupon code to save 10% on your purchase: Happy2003
