Patriot P300 SSDCDRLabs has taken an in depth look at Patriot's latest PCIe SSD, the P300. This mid-tier, M.2 form factor drive is powered by Phison's PS5013-E13T controller and offers features like advanced wear-leveling, end-to-end data path protection, thermal throttling, SmartECC technology and a low-density parity-check (LDPC) ECC algorithm to ensure data integrity and avoid data corruption. The P300 is also equipped with KIOXIA's (Toshiba) 96-layer BiCS4 3D NAND flash as well as an ultra-fast PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe 1.2 interface to deliver up to 2,100 MB/s read and 1,650 MB/s write speeds.

SecureUSB KP USB Flash DriveCDRLabs has put together a brief review of SecureData's SecureUSB KP encrypted flash drive. The SecureUSB KP features a FIPS validated design with military-grade AES 256-bit XTS encryption. To access their data, users simply enter their PIN on the keypad and plug it into any device with a USB port. The drive is also equipped with a rugged, extruded aluminum casing that protects it against dust, water and physical damage as well as a USB 3.0 interface capable of delivering up to 152 MB/s read and 118 MB/s write speeds.

Crucial X8 SSDCDRLabs has taken an in depth look at Crucial's first portable SSD, the X8. Manufactured to be durable, rugged and compact, this lightweight, pocket-sized SSD is built with a unibody core of anodized aluminum and can withstand accidental drops of up to 7.5 feet. On the inside, the X8 is powered by Silicon Motion's SM2263EN controller and is available with up to 1TB of Micron's 3D QLC NAND flash. It is also equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface which lets users save or load files up to 1.8x faster than most portable SSDs and 7.5x faster than portable hard drives.

Developed as the ideal pairing for your iPhone or iPad, the drive is equipped with both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt connectors. With these two connectors, the iXflash can be used to transfer files between your iPhone, iPad, or any computer with a USB port. PioData also offers a free mobile iOS app that allows you to take pictures and videos without using your device's internal memory and free up space by backing up your photos and videos to the drive.
