Direct to DVD Experience?

Postby VideoRoy on Thu Dec 22, 2005 11:18 am

Sorry originally posted this in the wrong forum.

Does anyone here have experience or advice on the Sony direct to DVD VRDVC20 or any other direct to DVD solutions?

I am looking for a easy way for some of the less technical members of my family to create DVDs from our DV camera without having to capture, edit and burn using the traditional video editing methods.

Any help or advice is appreciated

I would think one of the set-top box VCR type units would be better than one of these. I have no experience with the "burner with AV ports" type of setup but I can't see how they'd be all that much easier (or would produce fairly poor setups automatically).

That sounds like a really good idea. I did not realize you could buy one with a firewire interface until I just looked.

Do you have any recommeded models?

Thanks for the help.
