EAC/Accurate Rip Key Disc Database?

Postby audiodrome on Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:59 pm

What is up with the Accurate Rip Key Disc Database? I'm using EAC V0.95 beta 3 and every time I put in a CD from their Key Disc list, it says, "This key disc cannot be used for offset detection (it does match the one stored in the AccurateRips database)." I've tried about 20 different CDs and I know that for a lot of these, there can't be more than one version. For example, I inserted the DCC Pet Sounds, and I know there can't be more than one pressing of that one! What's going on here? Do I need to configure Accuatre Rip or EAC before it will "see" these discs? I do have the accuraterip.dll in the EAC folder.

I found it to be very picky with even what I considered lightly used discs. I had to resort to selecting CD discs that were almost brand new before it would accept my key discs. I also think I read that if you don't have a match initially, then you have to supply more than one correct key disc after that.
