One of the funny things I saw on vacation was a tourist wearing a trendy looking shirt. On it said, "Excreting Happy". Dunno what the hell that was about. I assume something was lost in the translation...or something.

One of my friends in college was from Japan. Her folks would always send her care packages with all kinds of stuff. I remember one of the items was a candy called Dew-Dew. I'd ask her every day if she had some Dew-Dew in her mouth or tell her that her breath smelled like Dew-Dew...just to mess with her. Of course, I never explained the whole deal to her. :wink:

This isn't exactly the same thing, but sometimes Japanese companies make some pretty weird marketing choices. I found this on Sanyo's web site today:

Hehehe! Yeah, cfitz. I agree. I've seen some other ads like that before. You gotta shake your head and ask, "What the....???"
