Letterbox Plague

I'm using Premier CS3 (i have 8.0 too).

Now I'm ripping VHS into premier and using the 4:3 option obviously. Even then, I still get the blasted letterbox around my finished capture. The post-crop option doesn't even cure it. I've been fighting with it for a while now but cant seem to kick it.

Anyone else seen this problem?

to answer my own question...

it was a matter of the coding program I used and its abilities to crop properly.

Adobe Premier CS3 didn't work well enough so Green Valley ProCoder did the job and did it very very well. Just in case someone else comes across this issue.
