ignoring the inherent instability of hard disc

would a internal hard disc attached with an extrenal casing less prone to virus attacks/corruption ( hard disk attached by firwire to notebook)

AS COMPARED TO an internal hard disc within the PC

An external hard drive can still become corrupt or become infected with a virus. Any storage device, even CD's or floppies, can become infected with a virus. So, in this regard, an external hard drive is neither superior nor inferior to an internal hard drive.
