As cheesey as some might think this, I bought one of these:

I used to be part of a virtual Crimson Skies squadron, and being able to have a good stereo headset/mic was important. This one was comfortable and served me well while being inexpensive. Man, I miss that game, even when the Zone was laggy. I had a mix of MP3's I could play at low volume even while doing voice chat over Battlecom or Roger Wilco with my squad. It just doesn't play as well on WinXP as it did in 98SE, so when I had a glitch and tried to reinstall, it never worked quite right again. I'll have to try to get it working someday. (sniff)
