How do I burn a DVD to play on TV?

Postby Kurt on Thu Oct 13, 2005 6:43 am

Very new at this stuff as you will be able to tell! I have recently downloaded some movies from the Internet (various formats...AVI, MPG, etc.) I am using Nero as my software....how do I get the movies from my hard drive to play on a DVD player I have hooked up to the TV. I have tried just burning it to a disk and nothing plays. Do I need some other software or am I just doing it all wrong?

Thanks for any help!!

You are doing wrong.

You can use NeroVision Express for example, its on package 2 in Nero.
I think you have the package 1, that package burns dvd-movie only if you have the whole bup, vob, ifo movie and not avi or mpeg.

If the movies are CD length, rather than DVD length, you can trying burning the movie as a (S)VCD in Nero. This is, of course, if your DVD player supports (S)VCD. If you don't know for sure, you can visit www.videohelp.com and look up your DVD player model there. Users write comments on a variety of playing, including their compatibility with (S)VCD.
No, I like women.
