LiteOn can read but not copy DVDs

Things became worst now, I don't know what's wrong...
My LiteOn can play DVD without a problem, smooth, but when I try to copy the vob files, it hangs... scan with CDSpeed, many damaged and bad sectors..

Can play but cannot copy????

Tried a scratched DVD data disc no problem, I can copy the files
Tried data CDs, no problem too

WHat's the difference between DVD-video disc and data disc, are data discs more resilient to errors?

I can't figure out what's wrong, is the drive dying?

Are you using somthing to decrypt the video files? Are these recorded or store bought DVDs you are having trouble with? If they are recorded, what recorder / disc is it?

All pressed DVDs.. It can play smoothly, it just never want to copy the files

Besides, the DVD that can be copied previously can't be copied now

Commercial DVDs are copy protected. You need to extract the files with something like DVD Decryptor or DVD Shrink. Then if necessary, you use a recompression program to fit the movie on the blank DVD you are going to use. Then Finally burn it. Take a look at http://www.doom9.org/.

dvd decrypter = fail
isobuster = fail

the problem when the copy halt, it halts forever

Well I found a solution, it sounds stupid, Linux KDE explorer drag n drop worked, there are pause here and there but it can struggle through it....

This is a LiteOn windows curse???
