8mm Analog Video Tape to Digital File

Postby skeezix on Tue Oct 08, 2013 4:12 pm

Hi,

I have a Windows Vista computer, a 20-year-old, home-use, Sony 8mm analog video camera, and some 8mm analog video tapes that I made several years ago. I would like to place the tape contents onto my computer but have fallen so far behind the times I'm not sure what I need. Nothing high-end. Perhaps somebody can give me a link where I can start looking?

You just need something that will capture the video and convert it to digital format. There are a lot of USB devices out there that will do it. Stay away from junk like the EasyCap. I made the mistake of buying one once. You get what you pay for I guess.
