Nero Wave Editor Copying/Pasting Between Files?

In Nero 8 when I would work on a CD compilation I was always able to open two separate tracks in the Wave Editor and copy and paste sections between them. For example, if a certain track needed a little silent space at the very beginning and another track had some silent space I would open both tracks open in the Wave Editor. I would select the silent space I needed on Track 1 and copy it, then I would switch to Track 2, put the cursor at the beginning of the track and paste in the silence. Worked like a charm!

Now with Nero 12 when I attempt to do the same thing with the Wave Editor, it does not even give me the option to paste the copied section of the first track. I have both track windows open in the editor and it allows me to copy the silent space I need but when I switch to Track 2 the paste option is grayed out.

EDIT:
Apparently it does still work the same way but you have to use the copy/cut/paste icons in the toolbar as opposed to the copy/cut/paste commands in the Edit Menu. Oh well, at least it works!
