Don't Upgrade Samsung 960 PRO SSD To Firmware 3B6QCXP7

Postby Ian on Wed Nov 29, 2017 1:52 pm

Just a heads up for Samsung 960 PRO owners. There are numerous reports of problems with the 3B6QCXP7 firmware. From what I can gather, the new firmware kills the performance of the drive and causes Windows to freeze.

Samsung has been verifying the cause of this issue under the various user conditions we received, and we are doing our best to release the fixed firmware by January 2018.
