How long it gonna last ?

I'm gonna buy a new PC in about 2 months .
I wanna know how long my PC gonna last before it beome obsolete .

Here is it's spec .

Pentium 4 3.06 GHz with Hyper Threading technology .
Intel D845PESV motherboard
80 GB Maxtor (7200 rpm) HDD
512 MB Kingston DDRAM PC-3200
Imation 48x24x49x CD-RW Drive
Creative SB! Live Digital Entertaintment 5.1
128 MB Gigabyte ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Samsung 17 " 765 MB Flatscreen Monitor
Altec Lansing ACS4 5.1 Speaker
Samsung Multimedia keyboard
Logitech Optical Mouse
Windows XP Home Edition

It going to set me back about U$ 1700

How long it will last ?
A year perhaps ?

Is there such thing as a Pentium 3 3.06 GHz? Maybe you meant Pentium 4?

With the specs of your computer. I'm guessing those components will still be around 1-2 years from now. Your gonna have to buy it sometime or later, because if you keep waiting for better stuff to come out, you're never gonna buy a computer then. Price seems fair for that computer with those specs. What monitor/LCD will you be using with it?

he didn't say P3 he said P4 3.06. That's a pretty sweet system. may be more ram ??

That's because he edited his post. It was Pentium 3 before I brought up the error.

if not right now, then eventually:

* more ram.
* more hard drive space.
