AGP 8X vs AGP 4X

Postby ryus on Sat Jan 11, 2003 1:34 am

Is there a real benefit with AGP 8X??

Or will a motherboard with AGP 4X be close to obsolete soon?

(I mean when using a powerful videocard like Geforce 4Ti , ATI 9500,9700)

I don't think there's much of a difference between the two when using a nice graphics card like a GeForce4 or a Radeon. You probably couldn't tell if you tried both out. I think the type of video card and other other system specs would make more of a difference in performance than AGP 4x and AGP 8x.
