Nero DVD video discs finally play in my Toshiba home DVD player.
Way to go ahead software.

I used to use Stomp UDF to burn DVD video.
(Nero discs still do not play on Apex; Stomp discs play in all of MY players, but I am now wondering which is more correct and will allow FUTURE player compatibility).

Unfortuneately, we have found that Nero 5.5100 and our latest Nero Vision is creating DVD's that are not playable in many DVD Players it previously did not have any troubles with.

Our Engineers are working diligently to resolve this issue quickly. And our next release of Nero and Nero Vision will resolve this compatibility issue.

Version 5.5.9.17 had been working perfectly on my system.

I upgraded to Version 5.5.10.0 and produced 3 unreadable data CDs size
approx. 650MB. I created an ISO image first in DAO mode, then burned from that. The systems I tried the CDs in variously reported them as unreadable or audio CDs.

I reverted to version 5.5.9.17, remade the ISO image and I'm producing
readable data CDs again...

My system:

Medion PC MT5 MED MT38 (VIA 694X/686A PIII 1GHz) 512MB 20GB Seagate
Nero version 5.5.2.4 was supplied bundled with the system

Windows ME, ASPI 4.72, DirectX 9.0, IE6 SP1, WMP 9

Philips PCRW 1208 (CDD4851 12x) Firmware version 4.0 (updated from 3.0)

Media used: Memorex 1-16x 700MB serial numbers LH3164FE2635590F,
LH3164FE2635579C, LH3164FE2635592D

Why don't you either pul 5.5.10.0 from your website (or at least also offer the older version) until you get the dvd issues solved?

The reason Nero 5.5.100 is not pulled is that it does address other bugs in previous versions.

I agree it would be nice to have the older version on our website so that those who need to can downgrade. But we found this to cause confusion as to which version of Nero the customer should download. :(

Hopefully, with changes to our web site we can possibly address this in the future.
