How fast is too fast?

CenDyne 16x DVD-ROM

The CenDyne 16x DVD-ROM drive is really the XJ-HD166S. I was in Micro Center, and I saw the label that had the model number on the actual drive, and I looked at the specs of the computer, and it was the CenDyne drive.
