LG DRD-8160B and DVD+RW

Hi peepz.

Im the proud owner of an LG DRD-8160B dvdrom drive...
inspite of some charts i saw on various website... i was unable to
make it read memorex (x2.4) dvd+rw media (or any other).

im using firmware v1.00 that came with the drive.
when using dvd-r it has no trouble coping with the media...
it seems only while using +rw media.

any suggestions?

btw: while the drd-8160b cannot read the media, it plays
*perfectly* on my pioneer dv-525 standalone player.

This drive cannot read the + Format
The 8161 can read all formats including DVD Ram

though it contredicts the tables on dvdplusrw.org.
