How many CD or DVD burners do you currently own? And how many do you expect to purchase in the next 6 months?

2 Burners: Lite On 52327S, and Optorite DD0401.

I *may* swap the Litey for a Plextor Premium, if it gives me any more trouble. Other than that, the only way I'll buy a new drive is:
A) 12x DVD+R
B) Dual-Layer DVD+R

If I win the lotto then I'll get a Plex 708A just for the heck of it-the Optorite is a good drive, but the Plex is a GREAT drive. But the Plex doesn't have HD-BURN...

Boy, I gotta stop pimping HD-BURN so much!

EDIT:
And hey, what the #$@! happened to the 20x DVD-ROM drives!?! I remember hearing about the chipsets for them a LOOOONNNGG time ago.
Come on Lite-On, I want to rip my movies faster! :P

3 CD Burners

TDK 48x24x48
TDK 12x10x32
Sony USB 1.1 4x2x4

I plan to buy a 8x DVD burner within the next 6 months though. The hard part is choosing a model I like for a good price.

3 LGs (8X, 16X and 40X)
3 Liteons (16X, 52X, 40X/8X)
1 Samsung 40X (348B)

Currently I'm only using the 411, 348B and 8400B.

Cheers.

Sony 500a
LiteOn 811 just purchased thursday
Buslink/LiteOn 52x24x52
" " 48x12x48
" " 32x12x40

I'll get one of the dual layer units after they come out and the price drops with some user feed back.
Was interested in the Pioneer 107 but it's not out yet and supposedly as expensive or maybe more then the Plex 708.

Had a Yamaha 4260, my first one
Cendyne 12x Sanyo, second, broke it :(
Plex 12x, third
Board member recently bought the Plex still working, hope he's getting some use out of it.

Burnin,

What about cross-compatibility regarding HD-Burn discs? Have you tried them on different drives and what has been the outcome?

Cheers.

I checked 2, although it's really only 1 + epsilon:
LiteOn LTR-48246S and my old Tevion 4x4x32 (Acer). It doesn't burn reliably anymore and I just use it as a reader in my old rig.

No immediate plans for anything new at present.
