I was using it with my 12X Burner, but it won't support my 48X Burner,s o I was wondering what speed does it support up to.

I don't think that they include the CD-Extreme with any of the newer drives. I used to use this software on my 12X Sony CRX160E/A1 too. I think that they just bundle B's Recorder Gold with their drives now. I'm not sure if the fastest burner that it supports is 12X or 16X, but I know that it does/did not work with a CRX175 (24X).

Like any burning software, Sony CD Extreme must be updated to supported the lastest burners. CD Extreme is a Prassi clone. Prassi Europe was purchased by Veritas, and updates for the whole family of software is on their site. See Updates for Desktop Software.

The Supported Devices List includes the Sony CRX 175. The latest update includes the TDK CDRW401240, but not the 48x model. This may follow in a later update.

In order to update to the latest version, the PX Engine Update 342 must be installed.
