This game rocks. It is true to the roots of a first persons shooter. Run and gun and look great doing it. I love this game. It doesnt even make my system flinch with everything turned on AA and Antistropic filtering. I have the newsgroup binary reader running at 700 Kb/sec and no slowdown. I ran Fraps and the slowest the FPS ever got was 25. I love this computer and this game.Dolby Digital is sweet too.

I'll have to give it a whirl too. :) How about Far Cry, have you tried that yet? I hear it is amazing as well.

Far Cry is probably the best single player FPS I've played in years. It's right up there with Half Life. Needless to say, its sucked up a lot of my free time over the last few weeks.

And I thought you were a big BF:1942 freak, Ian. My, how captivating a new game can be. :D

Yeah, I was addicted to BF:Vietnam until FarCry came out. After I beat it, I'll go back to BF:V

Far Cry was indeed a good game, almost as good as half life

Far Cry is the reason im running 1.5GB memory after all

i'll have to give this painkiller a shot, which newsgroup did you get it off? with my isp i get 2.8-3.0Mb/s so it shouldn't take me more then 20 minutes to download

Um, yeah. Even if it was possible to download at that speed (I'm assuming when you say 3gb, you mean 3 gigabits, which would rougly equal 375 megabytes a second) there is absoulutely no way your HDD could take all that info in at that speed  But then again, its wholy possible that you accidentaly put a "G" there instead of a "M", in which case is still damn fast. You hooked up to a T3 or something? Damn...

Just a reminder.. no piracy talk here. PM each other if you wanna talk about that stuff.
