That's one lucky bastard! I had a similar accident and was able to walk away too. But it sure scares the crap out you. I've had several friends that weren't that lucky.

That reminds me of the time I got hit on my bike. Luckily, I came a way with a skinned knee. I can't say as much for the car though.

That guy is one lucky person. And if the car driver is at fault, I hope they get it good.

I cycle (not motor, pedal power) 1,000-2,000 miles a year. All it takes is one distracted motorist, and it gets nasty real quickly. I myself T-boned a car a few years back that pulled out in front of me while I had the right-of-way. Luckily, I only came out with a skinned elbow, but with the damage, the driver ended up shelling out $1400 to replace my bike.

I do blame the guy on the bike for not wearing a helmet (at least, I couldn't see one). I've been spared from one nasty concussion by having one on, and they at least provide some safety.
