Western Digital Releases Advanced Format Hard Drive Utility

Western Digital has a released a new utility that will give you 7-11% more usable space on your hard drive. It does this by using larger, 4KB sector blocks as well as a common Sync/DAM header and pooled ECC blocks.

Has anyone tried this? If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7, support seems to be limited to only a few hard drive models but in the long run, it sounds like a good solution.
