greenliant_sata_nanadrive_ssd.jpgGreenliant Systems, a leader in energy-efficient, highly secure and reliable solid state storage products, has begun volume production of 16 GB and 32 GB industrial grade SATA NANDrive embedded solid state drives (SSDs) using 1-bit-per-cell (SLC) NAND flash memory. The GLS85LS1016P and GLS85LS1032P devices are ideal for long-life products that need high-endurance storage for user data and applications in a small, ball grid array (BGA) form factor.

The addition of GLS85LS1016P and GLS85LS1032P expands Greenliant's industrial grade SATA NANDrive portfolio to offer customers a wide range of capacities--2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB--of robust, embedded SSDs. Based on Greenliant's internally-developed NAND controller, NANDrive has error correction code (ECC) capabilities with advanced wear-leveling algorithms and bad block management to significantly extend the life of the product. NANDrive includes power interrupt data protection and enhanced security features to safeguard mission-critical data.

"To address applications with long lifecycles, SLC SATA NANDrive will be available up to 10 years through Greenliant's Long-Term Availability (LTA) program," said Chen Tsai, senior vice president, manufacturing operations, Greenliant Systems. "With the LTA program and new SLC NANDrive products, Greenliant is reiterating its commitment to customers in markets with stringent requirements, such as automotive, avionics, industrial, medical, military and transportation."

Industrial grade SATA NANDrive operates from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius and is tested to MIL-STD-883E to withstand harsh conditions. All SATA NANDrive devices have the same footprint in a 14mm x 24mm x 1.95mm, 145-ball package, with 1mm ball pitch for increased long-term reliability.

Availability
Industrial grade 16 GB and 32 GB SATA NANDrive devices are available now, and can be ordered through a Greenliant authorized sales channel. Customers can also request NANDrive product samples and evaluation boards.
