Silicon Power releases the Armor A62 as its latest addition to its rugged portable hard drive series. The A62 comes in two models (S and L) and five capacities (from 1TB to 5TB), catering from modest needs up to the most storage hungry video editors.
Design
Despite its fashionable exterior, the A62 offers solid protection for safe data storage. The drive’s housing has a ribbed surface structure that makes it resistant to scratches and smudges.
Durability
It has proven its shock-resistance in a military-standard free fall test (MIL-STD 810G, 1.22m) and is IPX4 water-resistant to prevent damage caused by spillages.

Seagate Technology plc announced today its IronWolf, IronWolf Pro and BarraCuda Pro hard drives are now available at capacities up to 12TB. Offering the highest capacity, reliability and performance in the industry among network-attached storage (NAS) and desktop HDDs, Seagate’s 12TB IronWolf and BarraCuda Pro drives further extend the capabilities of the leading Seagate Guardian Series to meet the growing data needs of large enterprise business, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and creative professionals.
Across the globe, we are experiencing a massive increase in the volume of data created, with a recent study by IDC and Seagate finding that data creation will swell to a total of 163 zettabytes (ZB) by 2025, 10x more than today. Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC), a committed technology leader, today announces the 10TB MG06 Series Enterprise Capacity HDD model line-up. Toshiba’s new MG06 series offers a 25 percent capacity increase compared to prior generations and enables models to be delivered at multiple capacity points to better leverage capacity refresh qualification cycles for OEMs/ODMs infrastructure builders, cloud solution providers (CSPs) and system integrators.
In addition to a heftier capacity, the 10TB MG06 Series features a greater maximum sustained transfer rate, 237 MiB/s, than the earlier MG05 Series, as well as a 25 percent increase in MTTF, with a rating of 2.5M hours. The drive provides a SATA 6Gbit/s interface and 7,200 rpm performance. Additionally, the MG06 HDD supports emulated 512 Advanced Format (512e) technology for compatibility with legacy applications and operating environments; or 4K native sector technology for optimum performance in all-disk or hybrid storage platforms.

The MQ04 Series single-disk model delivers 1TB of data storage capacity in an ultra-compact 2.5-inch, 7mm height form factor.
