GIGABYTE announced the new 1.8-inch external hard drive, A2 Tiny. With the eye-catching dual colored design, this portable hard drive is smaller than your palm, taking mobility to a whole new level. A2 Tiny measures 78 x 59 x 13 mm and only weighs 80 grams, about the size of a standard post-it; it’s so light and accessible that you can carry it with you wherever, whenever you go. Toshiba Europe Storage Peripherals Division, today announced a new series of USB 3.0 external hard disk drives (HDDs) that meet the high capacity, fast access storage demands of the data-hungry digital generation. The new STOR.E HDD series offers two products, the STOR.E BASICS and the STOR.E CANVIO, with (500GB, 750GB, 1TB) capacities to provide users with flexibility according to their digital needs.
Along with high capacities, the USB 3.0 interface delivers fast transfer rates of up to 5 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps), ensuring the quickest access times to your data. Sharkoon is expanding the USB 3.0 collection to their "QuickPort" Hard Drive adapter family: The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort H3 USB 3.0 offers the traditional plug-in slot for SATA Hard Drives and is directly connected to you computer via the USB 3.0 port. With the latest model three USB 3.0 Hub ports are integrated into the front side, over the already external SuperSpeed device, for example USB 3.0 sticks, which can be directly connected with the system.
The plug-in slot for SATA hard drives in 2.5 and 3.5 inch format contains, similar to other QuickPort models, a hard drive ejection button and LEDs indicating both power supply and hard drive activity. On the backside of the device you will find a separate power button. The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort H3 USB 3.0 measures 133 x 71 x 95 mm (W x H x L) and weighs 520 grams.
