QNAP Systems, Inc. today announced a partnership with Golden Frog, a company that offers online privacy and security solutions, to provide their secured and private personal VPN service, VyprVPN, to QNAP NAS users.

Through this collaboration VyprVPN is available on the QTS App Center in the Beta Lab category. QNAP users can directly connect to VyprVPN using their QNAP NAS and select from three protocols to encrypt their Internet connection (PPTP, OpenVPN-256, OpenVPN-160). VyprVPN for QNAP provides users with increased security and privacy, and QNAP is the first NAS provider to offer an integrated VPN service to users.

"Golden Frog works hard to build an ecosystem that extends across platforms and devices, and to make strong privacy and security solutions available to all types of users," said Liz Kintzele, VP of Sales at Golden Frog. "QNAP is a leader in network-attached storage devices, which is why we are so excited to be working with them and to offer QNAP users enhanced security through VyprVPN."

"We selected VyprVPN due to their network performance and speed. Golden Frog has greatly invested in their backend infrastructure, and is the only personal VPN provider that manages their entire infrastructure without third parties,” said Y.T. Lee, Vice President of QNAP, adding “They have an outstanding software development team that creates intuitive applications, and we couldn’t be more excited to offer VyprVPN to our users."
