LG 4163B - Retail or OEM ??

Hi all,

the LG 4163B has just arrived where I am

Besides the software, screws, cable & box - is there any other differences between the Retail & OEM versions ??

ie: Warranty differences, Firmware, Buffer sizes etc... ???

I don´t know wheter it depends on the country, but here in Germany have the technical no differences between the bulk and retail.

Does anyone know if the retail kit comes with different colored faceplates by any chance? I really want a 4163 but would definitely prefer black and haven't seen a retail kit in black yet. Am I going to be in for a long (=infinite) wait? :/

No, if you want black you need to buy the black version. LG doesn't do the swappable faceplate thing yet.

In EU-countrys you have 2 years warranty

I am in asia.... anyone know the warranty periods here ... or if there is a warranty difference between OEM & Retail ??

I just purchased one a week ago. It's already broken. Time for some warranty work.
