48x vs. 52x

Hi. I know I asked a question about burning speed before and Ian said that a 52x is not that much faster than a 48x when burning CD's. Is that also true for installing programs? Dell has the Lite-On 52x32x52x for $55 in black. Thanks, Craig.

52x reading isn't much faster than 48x reading, just like for writing.

newegg has the black LTR-52327S for $40.50.
