MS-8348A problems

Two moths ago I have bought MS-8348A for affordable price. In the beginning everything seems to be ok, since15 days ago when my drive failed to cooperate by recognizing any empty media (CD-R). Recreantly I have update Firmware from 120D to 150D, but still nothing. Is there a chance that WIN XP fails to recognize a CD-RW and interpret as CD-ROM?

Help needed please

Did you change anything this time? Another operating-system, IDE-drivers?
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

No I didn't change my OS nor I did change drivers. However, I have browse this forum for similar complains and i have found plenty of them that have similar failure as i described above. Actually, it's not the WIN XP tat cause the trouble but an error in CD-RW drive that doesn't recognise any empty media. The fault is in drive.

If you hav e guarantee, bring it back to your shop
