I’m a new user, in the sense that, I have never had to restore my system or its data from the product.
I backitup to a server hard drive, not to a cd or dvd. That system is then backed up to DL DVD's
For the past four years I’ve been doing this and it appears to me now that the application data files that I have never backed up are needed for the restore process. I didn’t know I needed to do that until, now.
The hard drive that the backup was being completed from was completely destroyed, so there is no more application data that I can pull forward.
Now at restore time when I try to restore any data from any information file, I get:
"The file “xxxxx.yyy” is not available in the backup folder; please specify the correct backup folder."
The System files are completely restored, but I have no data files.
How do I recover from this issue and retrieve my data files
I’d like to continue doing the backup this way so I need to know what files I need to copy to the backup systems hard drive at backup time.
