Best budget burner?

Postby Satan's Cheerleader on Thu Jun 17, 2004 9:08 pm

Hi. I'm shopping for a dvd-rw and not looking to spend a lot. Currently I'm looking at the NEC ND-2510A and the Lite-On SOHW-812S. Is there something else i should consider, and which of these two should i go with? I'm looking for whatever's going to cause me the least problems.

I was also looking at both of these drives.
I'm looking for quality burn of dvd +&- media. Low errors.

Hey Ian when will you post the LG-4120B review?

thanks

For compatible burning, NEC does seem to do a lot more compliant discs for many readers and on a wider range of media, than LiteOn 812.

Get the NEC. Once you get Herries firmware with bitsetting almost any disk it makes will read in almost any player or PC.
I can't say the same for my 811, I only use it for testing now :(
