Considering all of the massive sercurity holes in IE, I just don't get why anyone would insist on using it.

Despite my sig, I perfer Opera over Firefox. But I use Firebird; I get Firefox's plugins w/o the crap the newer Firefox versions have added.

IE has NO place on any of my systems-and for that, you've gotta love XPLite.

I finally gave up on IE after its latest security breach, which Microsoft seems to be ignoring for the most part, and switched to FireFox. It seems okay, although I wish it could:

- duplicate a window with ctrl-N and have the new window start on the same page as the original.

- turn off animations and Flash (surely there must be some way to do this that I just haven't found yet)

- sort the URL history in the address bar so that the last visited URL is at the top

LOL. You bugger

Like the Village Idiot I clicked on that .

Here on the work computer about 100 windows opened. We have no pop-up blocking. We're government afterall.

I thought the script was well done. It allowed me to close 5 or 6 windows before it opened them all again. I thought I was making progress in closing them.

Yeah, me too :)

cfitz, grab this and this.

I think All-In-One Gestures let's you custimize keyboard shortcuts; it should let you do something like the ctrl-n shortcut you want.

There should be one floating around for the history thing; they've completely reworked the extension page, and remove a bunch of them, since the latest Firefox came out. However, the old one's are still out there. There's gotta be a mirror for them somewhere.

OK, so why is my sig only showing up in this thread? Doesn't it show in my old posts too? Tried two different browers, so it's not my cache...

Thanks TheCDBurner. I will check those out. They look promising.

As for your signature, it is enabled on a post-by-post basis. If you didn't have your signature enabled when you made those earlier posts, it won't show up for them even if you have a signature enabled now.
