It's not a BluRay / HDDVD burner. It's a BluRay burner combo HDDVD-ROM.
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

And LG will be forced to remove the HD DVD logo due to the lack of support for iHD. Supposedly, the HD DVD-ROM capabilities are minimal, with a "play the feature video" function only.

The PC drive will have the HD DVD logo but their player does not. The iHD capabilities really have nothing to do with the drive. It's up to the software to support it.
