CD-RW Burning Problem T_T

Postby Bloodex on Wed Jul 20, 2005 11:09 pm

Hi, im currently using a Sony CD-RW CRX230ED. I've been using this to burn my media in data format for a few months now onto an Ridata 700MB CD-R without any problems. Lately however, I find that sometimes when I put in either a blank or burned Ridata CD-R, my burner cannot detect it. When i keep taking it out and putting it back in, it sometimes works. And when i try to burn it works maybe one tenth of the time and fails the rest. These burned Ridata CD-Rs run fine on the regular CD-ROM. I do not know what I can do to solve the problem.
I'm currently using Nero 6.

Below, i am Pasting the Error Log.

try using other media. Taiyo Yuden if you can get it. seems to be a media problem.

other things to check/try:

CdRomPeripheral : Generic STEALTH DVD st3wolf Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off
...
Generic STEALTH DVD F: CDRom2

what's this?
is this some kind of virtual CD drive?
if so, disable/uninstall it, that might help.

burn in Disc-at-once, not Track-at-once (unless you're doing Multisession - not recommended!)

what software do you have installed ? it looks like you have (or had) InCD and Roxio DragToDisc/DirectCD.
first it is bad to have both installed simultaneously. in any case unless you must have packet-writing software, i recommend you uninstall it (both). you might also need registry cleaning utilities (Nero InCD registry cleaner, Roxio Zap).
