Burning questions???

1)How come the edges of almost all (Sony, Maxell) +/- DVDRs feel STICKY?

2)When a burn failed, the burner could not be access/disc could not be ejected until you do a restart? (Using Nero 6.6)

My first BAD disc! something lead in or out.....

Because of the bonding material that's used to bond the 2 halves of the disc's togerher. And sometimes additional side coating for protection.

2 Probally has to do with the fact that sofware seems to lock some drives down dureing the burning proces.
