Buslink=LiteOn?

Postby AlphaReign on Thu Nov 28, 2002 10:54 pm

Heh, question is in topic, excellent deal for a 48x Buslink @ Microcenter, $19.99 up front, no mail in rebates just straight up 20 bucks. Hopefully it is indeed a LiteOn.

It should be directly recognized as a LiteOn if it is a rebadged one. It probably will be one, I haven't heard of any cases where people found some other manufacturer's drive in the BusLink 48x.
But again, if it isn't you can always return it :wink:

BUSlink drives are OEM Lite-On drives straight out of the box. They even have the Lite-On label on the back of the drive. Everything should be Lite-On except for the instruction manual which should have BUSlink on it.

I just picked up a Buslink 48x12x48 drive from CompUSA. Looking at the drive's label, it showed 48x12x50. Be careful if you expect a Lite-ON. Does anyone know what this one actually is? I think it's an AOpen.

dhc014 - I believe you are correct that it may be an AOpen

All of us know Liteon doesn't have a 48x12x50.

Here's the URL to Aopen CRW4850:
