Sorry, you are right, the eject command could not have been issued if it hung up prior to completeion of the write. I should have caught that as you did state this clearly.
However, it still remains true that the Recorder is in a hung state and will not accept any commands. If you can press the Eject button on the Recorder, and the disc would eject, then I would say that it would also accept a soft eject via a command issued to it.
But just for your information, all Recording software follow the MMC command set, and you can find the eject command and others in this document. You can download the MMC Command set from OSTA at www.osta.org
, but you would need to have some programming skills of course.
However, its unlikely to be of any real help.
